Bamboo

Bamboo is the latest must-have product for the home. For quite some time now bamboo has been used for screens and fences in gardens offering a chic and natural look to any outside area. It has also been widely specified for hard flooring and shutter blinds and the demand for bamboo clothing, sheets and towels is on the rise. And now, you can even order bamboo carpets and rugs. The desire for bamboo is not surprising when you consider its benefits. Firstly, it is an extremely flexible material that can be made into a hard wood or an extremely soft textile. Summer Shades

Summer is officially blooming and we have been run off our feet creating beautiful bespoke hand made rugs and carpets for outside and in. A soft seating area is the perfect place to relax and soak up the rays and who wouldn't love a hand woven rug underfoot. We offer an extensive number of shades within our outdoor range of water and fade resistant yarns and for indoors, well the possibilities are endless! This summer we have found that shades of blue with gold or bronze have been a popular choice. We love lustrous hand tufted silk and bamboo in metallic shades but we also offer metallic thread if you're after that extra sparkle. This works really well looped into wool or silk, our top picks this season are shades of bronze and copper and these look amazing with this summers trend for blues and greys. When creating a bespoke rug or carpet, the process really is exciting. Usually a client will produce something that has inspired them, which could be a piece of fabric, a photograph or a painting. The Landscape collection was the winner of ‘Best Modern Collection’ at the Carpet Design Awards at DOMOTEX in Hannover, Germany on January 17th this year. There were 320 designer pieces from 21 countries submitted to the design competition, entries are judged on a range of criteria, including design, material, finish, texture and quality, as well as sustainability and branding.
